Today, I decided to present to you some little delicacies I prepared for my colleague Polly’s birthday. Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! She loves chocolate very much, so I decided to experiment with these tempting tiny little temptation. And I did not make a mistake! It melts in the mouth and you want more and more.
The candies are prepared with small adjustments according to the recipe for Shuhaidi Slovak Sweets of Billa Culinarium, for which I thank them very much!
INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS:
Blend the lady fingers cookies in a blender.
Add 100 g of the powder sugar.
Warm a little bit the milk and add it, too.
Blend the nuts, but not very finely so that you could feel them while eating.
Add the nuts. Stir well and let the mixture cool down.
In a pan or other casserole with a thick and non-stick bottom, add the butter, the remaining 50 grams of sugar and the cocoa. Stir until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Chop the chocolate and add it to the pan. Stir until a smooth mixture is obtained.
Do not forget that the products should melt on low heat, don't allow the mixture to boil and stick to the bottom. To make sure this will not happen, you can melt them in a water bath. I used a small pan with a non-stick coating because it's easier and quicker for me.
From the lady fingers cookies mixture, form small balls that place them in the cupcakes forms.
Start making the candies. Take about 1 tbsp. from the still warm chocolate mixture and pour onto the spheres. Try to cover them all.
If you use smaller cupcakes forms, the entire ball is totally covered and the top surface becomes even. I was not able to find small ones, so I used standard size cupcakes forms. That's why my candies became like little chocolate domes. Both are good, so do not worry if you do not use the small cupcakes paper forms.
In any case, the taste will not suffer :).
Decorate the candies as you wish. I sprinkled with sugar-coated decoration hearts and beads.
If I can do it, so can you!
Bon appetit!
