Homemade döner with pork

In our family we really love Arab döners. But ast ioften happens, when we eat something we have bought, we always say to ourselves, “Can’t we do that ourselves?” And this is how our home-made döners came to light. What we need is just flat Arabic bread and a lot of imagination. 🙂

Here’s how we made them at home 🙂

 arab flat bread
 pork meat (leg or shoulder)
 salt to taste
 frozen blanched french fries
 different types of green salads
 finely chopped cabbage (or ready-made cabbage and carrots salad)
 onion cut into half-moons
 cucumber
 cherry tomatoes
 mayonnaise
For the sauce:
 1 roasted red pepper
 yoghurt
 mayonnaise
 white cheese
 1 clove garlic

Prepare the meat first - cut it into pieces and place it in a baling pan. Season it with salt and sprinkle some chopped onion and 2-3 cherry tomatoes in halves. Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees until the meat is ready (about 30 minutes).

While the meat is being baked, prepare the vegetables - cut the cherry tomatoes in halves, the cucumber and the onion - into disks, prepare the salads (green salads and cabbage). Fry the french fries.
Put all sauce products in a blender and grind them to a homogeneous mixture.
Optionally, you can prepare other types of salads or supplements for the duneurs you like.

Once the meat is ready, cut it into smaller pieces.

When assembling the döner, first coat the flat bread with the sauce. You can replace with mayonnaise. Place some meat, vegetables and French fries in the middle of the bread. Sprinkle with more sauce or some mayonnaise if desired.
