Let me show you again something from the low carb cuisine … There is such a variety and with so many simple and delicious ingredients that are in front of our eyes, but we just don’t realize it.
Here is one of them! Enjoy! 🙂
INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS:
Start by mixing the mince meat. Put the mince and all the dried spices in a bowl.
Add the egg.
Mix all the ingredients well.
Pre-make mini meatballs about 3-4 cm in diameter. In a deep frying pan place the meatballs.
Fry on moderate heat.
Carefully turn them over to fry well on all sides. Then remove the meatballs from the pan into a plate.
Add the finely chopped onion in the same pan.
Once the onions get softened, pour the tomatoes. Stir.
After the mixture boils, let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
Add the meatballs to the sauce.
Together with the meatballs add the finely chopped or pressed garlic to the sauce. If your sauce seems very thick, add about 1/2 cup of water.
Let the dish simmer again for about 5-10 minutes, until the sauce thickens. If you want, add 1 tbsp. of flour, mixed well with 1 cup of cold water and let the dish simmer for 2-3 minutes until the flour is cooked. But since our goal is to make a low-carb meal, we will not add flour.
Serve the mini meatballs while still warm, sprinkled with parmesan cheese and finely chopped fresh parsley. Enjoy! 🙂
If I can do it, so can you!
Bon appetit!
