There are a wide variety of low-carb recipes. Well, this one is a bit more interesting variation of the classic German Onion Pie (Zwiebelkuchen).
I borrowed the recipe from the German culinary site https://abnehmtricks-und-abnehmtipps.de, making some adjustments to my taste, such as replacing some products or their ratio. The site says that the low-carb version is better than the original. When I prepare the original, I’ll tell you 🙂
INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS:
Grind the nuts and pour them into a bowl. Add the salt and the egg. If you find that the nuts you are using are salty enough, you can skip the salt.
Mix well.
Prepare a pan with a removable bottom. Grease the pan with oil and spread the mixture evenly on the bottom and on the sides of the pan.
Place in a preheated oven at about 180 degrees for about 10 minutes until the mixture turns golden.
Put the onion cut into slices into a casserole.
Chop the garlic into small pieces and add it to the onion. Fry until onions are caramelized.
In a bowl place the curd, the sour cream, the eggs and the diced ham.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add the caramelized onion, which has cooled a bit.
Mix well.
Pour the mixture onto the already baked nuts layer.
Grind the cheese on top.
Bake until the pie is golden brown.
Serve while still warm. But it is just as tasty after 1-2 days in the fridge. Bon appetit!
If I can do it, so can you!
Bon appetit!
