When we have more of the stuffed mushrooms with curds, leeks and peppers left, we won’t throw it away, of course! We just spread it on bread and make a new kind of oven baked sandwiches! 🙂
Enjoy! 🙂
INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS:
With the oil fry the leeks and peppers until tender.
In a bowl mix the curds and the cream cheese.
Add the softened and slightly cooled vegetables.
Stir well.
As I mentioned before, this is a complement to the recipe with stuffed mushrooms, since I had about half a filling left over. So far, the mushroom stuffing is the same as the sandwiches mixture. The difference is that here I added an egg, which you can still do in the mushrooms recipe.
Stir well.
Spread the slices of bread with the mixture. If you want you can first cover them with a thin layer of butter or margarine.
Bake the sandwiches in a preheated oven at 200-220 degrees on a higher level in the oven or on a grill until golden brown.
Enjoy! 🙂
If I can do it, so can you!
Bon appetit!
