When you want to prepare something tasty and nutritious but also quick, check what you have in the cupboard and the fridge. If you have pasta, ham and cream, then the meal is ready in a short time. I also had some dry blue cheese and added it for some more taste. And it turned out a great meal for hungry people. 🙂
I am introducing you my Pasta with Ham, Cream and Blue Cheese!
Enjoy! 🙂
INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS:
This recipe will need a parallel cooking with the paste and its sauce. Therefore, a little coordination is needed. Prepare all the necessary products for the sauce - chop the onion into small cubes and the ham into slices or other form. Prepare hot water for the pasta.
Prepare also a large pan for cooking the pasta and a large sauce pan.
Now we start! 🙂
In a large saucepan put the boiling water on the stove. Once it starts to "bubble" it is ready to cook the pasta. Add the salt. Now add the pasta and stir to keep it from sticking. Cook according to package directions. If the pasta is fresh and less time is needed, first start with the sauce.
I chose a linguine type paste with saffron. You can choose anything else you like.
In a big frying pan put the chopped onions and let it saute for a few minutes until soft. We don't want to find crunchy onions in the pasta, do we? 😉
Add the sliced ham as well. I chose to cut it in the same shape as the pasta, but you can choose to cut it into cubes.
Let the ham fry for a while to get a light tan.
Add the cream and stir.
Add the blue cheese.
By this time the pasta should be ready. Do not overcook it, as it will be cooked also in the sauce.
Take it out of the boiling water and add it to the pan with the cream sauce.
Mix well all products for 1-2 minutes. It's ready! 🙂
Serve the pasta while it is still warm. You can additionally sprinkle with grated yellow cheese of your choice and some more crushed blue cheese. Enjoy! 🙂
If I can do it, so can you!
Bon appetit!
