Let the Christmas spirit enter your door by preparing this beautiful Christmas tree with butter dough and chocolate. So easy and delicious!
Stuffing depends on your imagination. It can be sweet or salty… I saw the idea from the site of this amazing Italian Benedetta: https://www.fattoincasadabenedetta.it/ricetta/antipasti-di-natale-3-ricette-facili-e-veloci/
Have a look also how I prepared these amazing mini Puff Pastry Christmas trees on a stick.
Enjoy! 🙂
INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS:
Fold the dough into two parts on the long side.
With a sharp knife or pizza knife, cut out the shape of a tree.
Divide the two layers of dough. Spread one with the melted chocolate.
Cover the chocolate spread half of the puff pastry with the other half.
Cut side strips about 1-2 cm wide, leaving about 2-3 cm in the center an uncut section.
Put the Christmas tree in a baking tray covered with baking paper. Carefully twist the "twigs" of the "tree".
From a pastry leftovers, cut a star and place it on top.
Do not throw away any dough. Grease them with some more chocolate and make rolls, even though they would not be that beautiful. The taste will be just as good.
If you want, you can spread the pastry with a broken yolk.
Bake for about 10-15 minutes in a preheated oven at 200-210 degrees without a fan. After removing it from the oven, place it on a large plate and sprinkle with icing sugar. Enjoy! 🙂
If I can do it, so can you!
Bon appetit!
