Impress your guests and loved ones at home with these so easy yet incredibly delicious Christmas trees.
Stuffing depends on your imagination. It can be sweet or salty … I saw the idea from the site of this amazing Italian Benedetta: https://www.fattoincasadabenedetta.it/ricetta/antipasti-di-natale-3-ricette-facili-e-veloci/
Have a look how I also prepared this so beautiful Christmas tree out of puff pastry and chocolate. Let Christmas spirit enter your door.
Enjoy! 🙂
INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS:
Put the grated cheese and the finely chopped salami in a bowl.
Add the mayonnaise, the mustard and the tomato paste. Stir well until smooth.
Spread the mixture on a thin layer on the puff pastry.
Cut the dough on the long side in strips about 2 cm wide.
Bend the strip about 5-6 times, trying to make the bottom wider and narrower to the top. You should not press the ribbon a lot to let it rise when baking.
Using a wooden stick, gently push the "tree" through the center.
Here are some of the ready-made "Christmas trees". You can optionally brush them with a beaten egg yolk.
Carefully place the Christmas trees in a pan covered with baking paper or a Teflon pad. You should be careful that the sticks do not overlap the "trees" because they will hinder the baking of the their proper shape.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200-210 degrees without a fan. For a more interesting presentation, you can serve the sticks vertically stuck on a cabbage or a tray. Eat while they are still warm! Enjoy! 🙂
If I can do it, so can you!
Bon appetit!
