I wake up this Saturday with the idea to make happy the members of my family and to prepare a banitsa (with ready-made thin pastry sheets, of course, I am not a specialist of self-made ones, or not yest J). I mixed the ingredients for the filling, went to the refrigerator and … surprise – I thought I had the pastry sheets, but I didn’t. And the banitsa was quickly transformed into this mixture called Tutmanik, in which, instead of just white, I also put corn flour.
INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS:
Pour the eggs into the bowl.
Add the yogurt in which the soda is pre-mixed in order to rise.
Add to the bowl all other products without the flour. Stir well.
Corn flour is poured first, stirring well to avoid lumps.
The white flour is added a bit by bit. Since its quantity depends on other products, it can not be determined exactly. Add gradually until a thick mixture is obtained.
The mixture for the tutmanik is poured into a greased pan with a diameter of 26-30 cm. Bake in a moderate oven at about 180-190 degrees for about 30-40 minutes until a golden crust is obtained on top.
If I can do it, so can you!
Bon appetit!
