If by any chance you have not yet decided what to cook for the New Year’s Eve, this is an idea – SPIKED PORK LEG – put it in the oven and forget for 2-3 hours. Perfect meat! Together with the garnish!

Make holes in the pork leg with a sharp knife.
Put the garlic cloves cut into halves into the slots. If you want, in addition to garlic, you can put carrots cut into thin strips.
Sprinkle with the spices for the pork leg.
Grease the leg with a little oil.
Massage the meat well by rubbing the spices in it. Cover with foil and let the ,eat stay for at least 1 hour until all the flavors are absorbed.
Thoroughly clean the celery and cut it into large pieces.
Clean the onions and cut them in big pieces.
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into large pieces.
Cut the carrots into ringlets.
Place the leg in the center of a large baking pan and arrange the vegetables around it.
Add the water to a bowl.
Add the wine. Stir.
Add the savory.
Add salt.
Add the red pepper.
Add the oil and mix everything well.
Pour the mixture onto the vegetables. Mix them well.
Cover the tray with aluminum foil. Bake for about 2 hours at 200 degrees until the meat and vegetables are ready. Then remove the foil and bake until golden.
Serve while everything is still warm with a glass of nice red wine. Enjoy! 🙂
