We all know very well the sweet salami from the old recipe notebooks of our mothers and grandmothers. But today I decided to prepare it some other way, by the recipe of my beloved Laura Vitale. The appearance and the preparation process do not seem different. But the taste … the taste is the thing that makes it worth preparing this sweet salami. Well, a little patience also is necessary to wait for it to cool in the refrigerator :).
INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS:
Crush or cut the biscuits and walnuts. Pour into a large bowl.
In a saucepan or bowl place the chopped into small cubes chocolate, butter, sugar and cream. Put on a mild heat on the plate or in a water bath until all ingredients are melted.
A smooth chocolate mixture should be obtained.
Pour the chocolate mixture into the bowl with the biscuits and walnuts.
Mix well all ingredients.
Cover the cup with foil and leave it in the refrigerator for about 1 hour to cool down.
Sprinkle powder sugar on an aluminum foil, fresh storage foil or other nylon.
The chocolate mixture onto the powder sugar, trying to give it the shape of a salami.
Using the foil we form a salami form. If necessary sprinkle more powder sugar on top.
Wrap the salami with the foil well. You could wrap it one more time to make sure it does not tear. Put it in the fridge for at least 4-5 hours to tighten well.
Cut the salami into slices and serve with coffee 🙂
If I can do it, so can you!
Bon appetit!
