I love it most when it smells warm bread at home.
And I love it even more when it is complemented by the aromas of baked cheese and butter … I can see the neighbors are envy and want to come for dinner 🙂
Look at my beauty! This time it turned out to be even better than the previous options of bread or pie. Special thanks to Tony Trifonova for the exceptional Twisted cheese bread recipe I saw in the culinary Facebook group “In My Kitchen.” I will prepare it again soon.
This is how I did it:
INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS:
Put the warm milk and yeast in a bowl.
Add the sugar.
Add a few tablespoons of flour.
Mix.
Let the yeast activate for about 10-15 minutes.
Add the oil.
Add the eggs, separating one yolk for smearing before baking.
Add the vinegar.
Add the salt
Stir. I used the kitchen robot and the dough hook.
Start adding the flour.
Once the dough is almost done, transfer it to a table or kitchen counter.
Knead until a soft dough is obtained. Depending on the products, it may be necessary to add more flour.
Put it back in the bowl and cover with a cloth.
Leave it in a warm place for about 1 hour until it doubles in volume. If the weather or the kitchen is warm, it may take less time.
Once the dough has risen, divide it into 5 approximately equal balls.
Roll each ball into a rectangle about 0.5 cm thick.
Sprinkle and grease with melted fat. I used cow butter and lard. The combination of two gives an incredible aroma to the bread.
Sprinkle with the crushed cheese.
Then you take the second ball of dough, roll it out and put it on the first dough sheet, already sprinkled with cheese. The second sheet is again greased and sprinkled with cheese. This is how you handle all the balls. The last sheet is just greased without sprinkling it with cheese.
Cut the sheets into 5 approximately equal strips in length.
Twist each strip and slightly pull it.
Roll it and place in a pre-oiled baking tray.
Arrange all the other strips this way. Let the cheese bread to sit and rise a little for another 10-15 minutes.
Spread with the egg yolk, beaten with 1 tbsp. of vegetable oil and 1 tbsp. of milk.
Bake the cheese bread in a preheated oven at 160 degrees for about 40 minutes.
After removing it from the oven and while it is still hot, coat it with butter on top.
Serve for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Best eat it with friends! Bon appetit!
If I can do it, so can you!
Bon appetit!
